1 Iqra': read!اقرأ
The first word of the Quran revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the cave of Hira was «Iqra'», which means «Read!». Reading helps us discover the world, learn new words and travel with our imagination without leaving home.
أول كلمة نزلت من القرآن على النبي محمد ﷺ في غار حراء هي «اقرأ». القراءة تجعلنا نكتشف العالم ونتعلم كلمات جديدة ونسافر بخيالنا دون أن نغادر البيت.
2 How to choose a bookكيف تختار كتابًا
Look at the cover and read the title. Leaf through the first pages: if there are only a few words you don't know, it's the right book for you. You can ask the librarian for advice. At the library you can borrow books for free!
انظر إلى الغلاف واقرأ العنوان، ثم تصفح الصفحات الأولى: إذا كانت الكلمات التي لا تعرفها قليلة فهذا الكتاب مناسب لك. ويمكنك أن تطلب النصيحة من أمين المكتبة، وفي المكتبة نستعير الكتب مجانًا!
3 Reading in two languagesالقراءة بلغتين
Reading both in the language of your country and in your family's language is a superpower: your brain becomes quicker. Try reading the same story in two languages, or ask your grandparents to tell you a fairy tale from their country.
