1 Rules help usالقواعد تساعدنا
At home, at school and on the street there are rules: waiting for your turn, crossing at the zebra crossing, raising your hand to speak. Rules are not there to punish, but to keep everyone well and safe.
2 The Italian Constitution
The Constitution is the most important law in Italy and has been in force since 1 January 1948. It says that all people are equal and have the same rights, whatever their language, religion or origin. It also guarantees freedom of religion.
3 Respecting everyone
In class there are children who come from many countries and speak different languages. Everyone is precious. We don't make fun of anyone and, if we see a classmate who is alone or treated badly, we help them or ask an adult for help.
4 Helping others
Being a good citizen also means helping: carrying the shopping for an elderly neighbour, taking part in a collection of clothes or toys, keeping the park clean. In Islam even a smile to others is considered a good deed.
